I read a suggestion on another forum that perhaps retrieving Thaler would make this dialogue option available- the idea being that Djikstra can help you if you help him in some way, either by giving him info about the treasure OR finding Thaler. So he doesn't help but you get credit for the objective. I guess what I was hoping for when I went to Djikstra during "Poet Under Pressure" was a dialogue option where I ask him for help and he refuses, which IIRC happens later on during the "Brothers In Arms" quests. I can't go back that early, both because I delete old saves and I've done a whole bunch of stuff since then. There is an option to ask about treasure which I didn't choose, I chose to let them go through with all the torturing to avoid having to meet the spy later. So I reloaded an earlier save and tried again, this time I went to Djikstra before meeting Zoltan, thinking perhaps there'd be an opportunity to get this objective, but there was no dialogue option like that.Ī little googling revealed that the way to avoid this was back during Count Reuven's Treasure quest, when talking to Caleb Menge while Triss is tortured. I never got such an objective during the quest. The one I'm having trouble with now is during the quest "A Poet Under Pressure"- this is the one where you actually save Dandelion by ambushing witch hunters transporting him.Īt the completion of the quest it has a failed optional objective to ask Djikstra for help. Yes I know it doesn't matter, this is just something I wanna try for the heck of it. In my current replay, I set myself a goal of not having any red failed objectives within quests.
